The Sydney Zoo Foundation is committed to facilitating activities that involve improving wildlife preservation, environmental conservation, scientific research and community education. Support has been additionally extended through the Chairman of the Ottomin Foundation, Richard Kovacs, taking on the role of the Chairman of the Sydney Zoo Foundation.
The first initiative of the Sydney Zoo Foundation followed the 2020 NSW Black Summer Bushfires by providing financial support and resources to Science for Wildlife’s Koala Project. The funds were directed towards the rehabilitation and recovery efforts in the Blue Mountains area.
