Ottomin Foundation makes a splash at the Malabar Magic Ocean Swim

The sixteenth annual Murray Rose Malabar Magic Ocean Swim was held on Sunday 18 February 2024 and marked another year of camaraderie, competition and raising funds for the Rainbow Club’s network of social swimming clubs for children with disabilities.

The annual ocean swim is an all-inclusive event offering a 5km, 2.5km, 1km, and the assisted swim dash, with many Rainbow Club kids participating alongside aspiring athletes and enthusiasts alike.  It was a great privilege in 2024 that the Governor of NSW, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, and Mr Dennis Wilson, as joint-Patrons of Rainbow Club Australia, officially started the Splash, Dash and Magic 1km events where the Rainbow Club members displayed their ability and love of swimming.

This year, the Ottomin Foundation was formally acknowledged with the Murray Rose Perpetual Rainbow Club Award for its continued support of the event and the Rainbow Club over the past ten years. It remains a wonderful honour for the Ottomin Foundation to share in the magic of swimming and support children with disabilities and we look forward to continuing this relationship into the future.
